Our BA in Fashion Design follows a methodology that is completely focused on preparing students to enter the workforce.
From the outset, we engage in individualized monitoring that allows us to develop each student’s strengths. We build on each student’s individual skills, launching them as unique designers able to go the extra mile and stand out.
We also offer up-to-date courses with the latest fashion design technology, allowing us to provide high-quality teaching that is suited to cutting-edge ideas and industry demand.
Our BA in Fashion Design trains students in different areas of fashion such as collection design, pattern design, illustration, marketing or accessories design. A differential factor of our BA in Fashion Design is that it is taught by the best professionals in the sector. All of them have extensive experience in the world of fashion and career in the professional world.
HAC_R is recognized as an Authorized Private Higher Education Design School with an Official DGA Certificate from the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. It is authorized to grant a BA in Fashion Design in the Official Bulletin of Aragon of January 30, 2018.
Under Spanish law, higher-education studies in design lead to a BA in Design in the relevant specialization. This degree is, to all effects, equivalent to a university degree.
Our accredited studies of the BA in Fashion Design consist of 240 ECTS credits (4 years). Students studying this Degree can never remain longer than 6 years, in addition, during the first academic year they must pass at least 18 ECTS.

Pre-register
HAC_R takes in a total of 40 new students each year, divided into two groups of 20.
You can pre-register any time after October 1. To do so, you must submit the Pre-Registration Form and a receipt for the €200 deposit (this deposit will later be deducted from your enrollment fee, you may find more details on the form). Pre-Registration Form.
When you have completed the pre-registration, you will be granted access to an intensive training course for the specific admissions test.

Any students who hold a BA in Plastic Arts and Design can enroll without completing the Specific Admissions Test for Higher Education.
Specific Admissions Test
Once proof has been provided that the minimum requirements have been met, students must pass the Specific Admissions Test for a BA.
This exam is open to all and is held twice a year (June and September) at the HAC_R. The exam dates are published in the Official Bulletin of Aragon.
You must present the following documents in order to take the exam:
The Specific Admissions Test consists of a technical drawing exercise (freehand) of a model object; a second artistic drawing exercise; and an essay where the student must compose a written text about your opinion and ideas on a specific topic.
At HAC_R, we offer an intensive training course before both of the specific admissions tests.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to take the EvAU, SAT, or any other university admissions exam?
You do not need to pass any university admissions exam to enroll in Vocational Arts Education. However, all students must pass the Specific Admissions Test, which is offered twice per year.
I have another college degree – can I transfer credits from it?
Students with a college degree may not request transfer or recognition of credits taken before they begin their formal artistic education.
Can I take the Specific Admissions Test in any Spanish province?
Yes. The Specific Admissions Test can be taken in any Spanish province and is valid for one year (it can only be used to apply to an educational institution during that academic year). Every province determines the specific content of the exam.
In Aragon, the specific test is held twice per year. Access to the test is contingent on the number of available places.

Our students have the opportunity to go on exchange within Europe through our participation in the Erasmus+ program. HAC_R helps enrich its students by encouraging openness to other cultures, offering both professional and life experiences.

HAC_R + ISTITUTO MARANGONI (MILAN)
Through an agreement with the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in Milan, HAC_R offers its students two opportunities to pursue their studies in both places. Students from HAC_R are given preferential admission and reduced fees at Istituto Marangoni.
Internships and employment
At HAC_R, we have direct access to the Fashion United international internships listing platform as well as the Fashion Jobs international jobs listing platform. Both are specific to the fashion sector. International internships are intended to allow students to apply and build on the knowledge acquired during their academic studies, encouraging students to acquire skills and abilities that can prepare them for professional work, improve their employability, enhance their capacity for entrepreneurship and build their knowledge of other languages and cultures.
Isabel Martín Foundation
HAC_R has a partnership in place with the Isabel Martín Foundation for volunteering and for academic internships at Creative Handicrafts, an NGO in India. These are focused on professional training and the creation of jobs for women at risk of social isolation.
Every year, three HAC_R students travel to Mumbai in the summer to design a complete collection for the European market. They apply their knowledge about prevailing trends and styles to this task.
A fashion designer is someone who can craft textile design products and clothing, including both their material and shape, in a variety of contexts.
